Default Princess Cruises using Amtrack

Some friends of mine have booked a Panama Canal Cruise on Princess which includes a Train Excursion from Los Angeles to Orlando with a two nite stay at Disney World and then a bus ride to Ft Lauderdale. This appears to be a new thing to appeal to those who do not want to fly. They leave Los Angeles on March 14, 2003 and arrive in San Diego on April 2. A 22 day round trip.

I also found a similar trip on Celebrity. It leaves Ft. Lauderdale on Amtrack on April 8th, arrives in San Diego on April 11th and sails on April 13th for the Canal and Ft Lauderdale.

Has anyone heard about this kind of booking or tried it? It seems like a fun way to get to your cruise departure if you can spare the extra travel time.
