This is from www.fodors.com. After reading the attached websites, it will probably change your mind about dolphin swims.
I would ask you to please reconsider the dolphin swim. They are incredibly cruel. I did it once and was sorry ever since. No matter how clean or nice it looks, more than half of the dolphins die within 60 to 90 days of capture.

Mark, we didn't do the Dolphin Encounter but have heard from others that it isn't all that great. They line you up in the water 20+ people, and the trainers will swim the dolphin by you, you can pet the dolphin , that's about it.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: RE: Dolphin Encounter in Nassau
i did the dolphin swim, and happened to love it! you were in the water with 10 people for the whole 30 minutes, you were able to pet the dolphin, feed the dolphin, dance, the dolphins swim and jump over you and then you get the dorsal push, where the dolphin pushes you across the water. it was alot of fun and definately a once in a life time experience. the island itself, blue lagoon has alot of other things to do to! sting ray city is there- i did not do that. i'm not fond of them!!!!!!!
I went to the dolphin encounter 2 years ago in Nassau. I feel it was well worth the money. As for the dophins they did nothing that they didn't want to do. When the dolphins had enough they simply left the enclosure. These dolphins at this particular encounter were raised there and would never survive the wild. I learned alot and got to interact with an animal I dearly loved.
