Can anyone please tell me what the weather in Nassau, Bahamas is in late January (in fact I leave in 10 days). Warm enough for shorts? Sleevelessshirts? Or will we need to wear pants and long sleeves? Can you go in the water? I thought it was always warm in the Bahamas but now I keep reading that it can be cool in Jjanuary and February. We have a lot of first timers and some want to snorkel?
Jen - I have the same concern - we are going to Nassau in the middle of February. If you go to www.weather.com you can see the ten day forcast for Nassau. Right now 77 is the warmest it will be and 57 is the low. I was hoping to snorkel but I think I am going to put that plan on hold for now! I hope this helps!
Jen, we had brisk weather. We were in shorts, but only one day was hot enough for the beach. Just a suggestion, the Fantasy was chilly in the evenings. You might want to bring a sweater or windbreaker type jacket. Have a ball!!!
January & February are off season for the Bahama's. We were there at the end of last February and I wish I had packed a pair of casual slacks (I actually wore capri pants and a light windbreaker jacket, DH wore dockers.). The sun was out but the winds were brisk. Even the tenders were cancelled to Salt Cay. We walked around town and took a taxi to Atlantis. There were die hard people on their beach, but it was a little cooler than I had thought it would be. 70's and sunny is nice to walk around in but not for snorkeling or swimming IMHO.
