Does anyone know of a dive operator that has instructor led dives of Palencar? We would like to dive it, but really don't want to go through the expense of getting certified in scuba until we've tried it. My understanding is that an instructor-led dive would not require the attendees to be certified.
Re: Instructor led dives of Palencar Reef, Cozumel
in this case i would book and excursion through the cruise lines, most have scuba trips that don't require certification.(you might get some instruction on ship in the pool) We snorkled Palencaar with a dive master(-booked it through the ship) it was sooo worth it.

go to cozumelsports.com, and ask for eduardo echeverria (spelling!!) -- he is taking us out on 2-15 for 3-4 hours, very reasonable. comes highly recommended, and is padi senior dive instructor. have a blast, make sure you go to palancar, san francisco and columbia reefs. top 3 in mexico
