Labadee Hispaniola???

Are there any activities on Labadee (RCCI's private Island) other than the ship shore excursions? There are only three listed and they all seem pretty expensive. Maybe this is a good day go to the beach!

Labadee is not really an island. It is an area leased by Royal Carb. for its sole use.
The activities ( mainly water sports ) are through the ship. There are no independent tours there.

Rob,
Labadee is a great "beach" kind of day, you don't need to do any excursions, but we did the waverunner tour and it was a gas, well worth the money. You can rent a float mat and just relax in the water all day too, they do sell out, so order yours early. They serve a nice BBQ lunch on the beach and you can order all the drinks you may desire, enjoy! One of my favorite places.

Thanks for the info! When you did the waveruner tour, were you free to go where you wanted or did you have to stay on a set course? (We did one in Galveston and we just went round and round a small "track")

Hi Robie,
No, it is a tour and you have a leader and a guy at the end. If you prefer to go fast, you go in front and at certain spots, you'll wait til the rest catch up and believe me, they do let you go fast enough. You go for a nice scenic ride, they point out things of interest, you go around the anchored ship, very cool! Actually, my husband enjoyed it so much, he signed up again for the last run of the day. You can also switch drivers, 2 people go at once, I know its a bit pricey, but well worth it!

We used this as a beach day when we went to Labadee. This is a nice little tropical island with not a whole lot to do but explore. We walked all around the island from one end to the other along the beaches. Haiti is in the backdrop of almost all of my pictures. RC has beach chairs everywhere & their staff from the ship comb the beaches delivering those fruity drinks that are so yummy. You can use your Seapass to purchase them so no need to bring money. We really enjoyed this port so much more than we thought we would.
