Cozumel- Day Pass at a hotel?

We are planning another cruise which includes a stop in Cozumel; the last time
we spent the day at the Chankanaab Park and also have been to Playa del Sol
as well. But both beaches have the absolute WORST, and most uncomfortable
beach lounge chaises!! They were miserable to get in and out of! So, for our
next visit to Cozumel, we would like to find a nice hotel with a beach to spend the
day-- is there a recommended place to go that offers a day pass or a fee to use
their facilities, beach chairs, shade umbrellas or palapas, drinks, food etc.??
Any advice would be welcome as long as the recommended hotels have ORDINARY,
comfortable chaises that our aging bones can get in and out of without falling!

I've been looking for the same thing. So far the elcozumeleno offers a $16 pass including a meal and two drinks. The Occidental Allegro was $45. Let me know if find anything different. I've never been to Cozumel before but will be there for a day with my wife and two little kids in April

When we head to Cozumel in April, we are hopping into a cab and heading to Playa Azul beach club, or the hotel the lounges at the hotel are normal, the only request I believe is that you have drinks from the bar there and ma;ybe lunch, great nachos!!. It is very quiet there as it is about 15 minutes out of town.

We are on the Sensation 4/10.

we'll be on the nordic empress from 4/12 to 4/19... one of our stops is at cozumel... we aren't too sure of what we are going to do there, but one thing is for sure- we are definatly going to check out the ancient ruins! i hear they are supposed to be great!
