Default Easter Caribbean weather

We are thinking about an Eastern Caribbean cruise in September, but I am kind of worried about the weather. Can anyone give me some advice. Wondering about hurricane season, and rainy season.

Thanks
Ray

September is hurricane season in the Caribbean, if a hurricane is brewing while you are cruising, the Captain will divert the ship around the hurricane for safety purposes, you might get some rain and choppy seas and have a port of call change but that's about it. If you want to cruise in September i wouldn't let the chance of well maybe we might just possibly run into a hurricane prevent you from cruising.

we have been on 4 cruises, 3 in September and 1 in November(Thanksgiving). It was beautiful weather everytime. We had rain on one cruise for 1 day, and then it was great after that.

So go and enjoy............

We took a three-day to Nassau in September, and a tropical storm was due to directly hit Port Canaveral on embarkation day. We made it out in time, and the cruise was rainy and overcast, but we had a GREAT time! Remember, the captain's top priority is the passengers' safety, and they'll do their best to steer away from threatening weather.

Here's an article about cruising in hurricane season.

Cheers,

When we retire we will travel to Florida during the hurrican season, watch the weather channel and hopefully book last minute cruises at cheap rates one after another avoiding any bad weather.
