The Duval crawl is a term used to describe what you do as you wander up and down Duval St. You don't walk, you crawl. There are so many bars and shops to stop in that by the time you reach one end of the street it has taken such a long time that you feel as if you have "crawled" up the street. I'm not sure what there is to do at seven in the morning since I was still "motivating", (drinking coffee) at that time of the day when I was there.

Jewel, 2/1/10, RCI cancelled our cruise, (insert sound of sobbing)
When we were in Key West, we took the free shuttle trolley into town really early before the shops were even open. It was so peaceful. We walked down Duval all the way to the Southern most point in the USA. Then we turned left at the corner of the two historic houses and walked to the marker where all the tour bus people were just getting off for a photo opportunity. From there walk up this main street and be sure to climb the stairs up the Lighthouse for a great view. Along the way will be Hemingway's house with the cats, the Summer white house and some great historic places. We ended up at Hogg's Breath Saloon for some cool liquid refreshment and Key Lime pie!
We did this all on foot and with no tour. Just study your points of interest. If you like mueseums, you will find those too along the way.
