Belize City & Roatan in February

Hi. We're thinking of going on the NCL Sky from Houston in Febraury. Two of its ports of call are Belize City and Roatan. Any recomendations for what to do there? Shore excursions are not yet available on the NCL website. Thanks! Note, there will probably be two families traveling with three children total, one 7 year old boy, one 5 yr old boy, one 5 yr old girl. Thanks.

The most popular things to do in Belize are going to be either the cave tubing, which your children are too young for (there are age requirements) or snorkeling which is supposed to be excellent. If your kids do not snorkel, you can take a trip to one of the Cayes (pronounces Keyes) and hang out on the beautiful beach or there are things to do on mainland of Belize. I am taking a tour to Altun Ha mayan ruins & then to the Belize Zoo. Look at old posts for info on Belize Zoo. In Roatan, this is another place that is big on snorkeling/scuba. We are not going to be there but for 6 hours so we are taking a cab to West Bay beach area & just having a beach day. You can snorkel right off of the beach areas there.

Hi There,
I am from Caye Caulker.
www.tsunamiadventures.com

Why not take the water taxi out to the caye and take one of the local snorkeling tours we offer. $20USD and half price for the kids.
We include snorkeling gear, water & fruit.
Swim with Nurse Sharks & Stingrays - very safe
see loads of tropical fish and corals
3 hour tour - fully guided with licensed guide through the Belize Tourism Board. Same guides for pre-arranged tours with Cruiseship.

The return water taxi fare is 15US and half price for the kids. A 45 minute ride through the mangroves. Chance to spot dolphins and enjoy the scenery.
Once out in Caye Caulker - time to enjoy the Caye. Lunch at one of the many local restaurants. Sandy streets and no cars. Rent a golf cart or bicycles.
Water taxi's almost hourly.
Write us for more details. Cheers Heather
