Mardi Gras

We would like to schedule a cruise to coinside with Mardi Gras 2005, any suggestions? We do not care about the destination, anywhere is good when cruising. Or as my 10 year old said, "I don't care if we go out in the ocean and turn around and come back>" Thanks.

have you ever been to mardi gras? you should research this very well. I don't even know how you would get to the ship with your luggage with all the crowds, streets that are closed etc. Plus make reservations at hotels now for then.

The NCL Dream will be sailing from New Orleans during that time. Granduer of the Seas will be also. Hotels are WAY more expensive, so if you are flying in, this is one time I suggest flying in the day of. If you get transfers with the cruise line, they will make sure that you get there on time. :) The Conquest is also sailing out of New Orleans during that time. You better hurry up and book it. It is a busy time and fills up fast.
