Default Atlantis Resort

Has anyone recently visited the Atlantis Resort in Nassau - looking for some information regarding visiting there for a day. Can you get on the grounds without actually staying there as a guest.

Yes you can on a limited basis. If you go in the evening however you can tour the aquarium and digs without a problem. The security is only during the day. I don't know how long you are there but we were in Nassua til late so take a tour or shop during the day and go to Atlantis after dinner. It's the same scenery except it's night and it's free.

Lin it's $25 to use the beach, and the same great beach is next door at the Sheraton (I think) for free. The Atlantis lets you into the casino area for free, but if you try to get past to the beach they stop you. So you can look around the Atlantis shops and casino for free, and the do the beach next door for free.

Hi Lin,
My family was there two years ago. We actually stayed at the Radisson Cable beach and went to Atlantis on Thanksgiving Day! We did the tour, it was a little pricey, I think $25.00 sounds about right, but back then we were not able to use any of the beaches or pools. We were however able to go into the casino, tour the shops and eat at any of the restaurants. When we were there, it was all decorated for Christmas and was beautiful. It was fun, but we only did the tour and then walked around a little bit and left. The scenery was beautiful!! If I remember correctly we were only there for about 3 hours.
Have a great time!!

We were there in May, we booked a tour thru RCI which included use of the beach, towel and beach chair, lunch and all the aquariums. It was great!
the only thing we were not allowed to use were the pools and slides.
while there we met a couple who purchased a room at the comfort suites across the street, if you stay there you are allowed full use of Atlantis. They did this so that they could spend the day with their children and use all of the pools and slides, but I think their ship was docked in Nassau overnite.
Enjoy it, it is truely a beautiful resort! We had a blast their for the day!!!

Thanks for all the info! When you booked your tour thru RCI was it thru the cruise line or something you found independently - I might give Comfort Suites a call to find out if they are booking any day rooms. That would be wonderful. The kids, and myself, want to be able to enjoy The Atlantis without having to watch out for security guards. The back area is so beautiful I would hate not to be able to spend the day there.

We booked it thru RCI .....it is called Historic Harbor Cruise and Atlantis Beach Break....$68 for adults and $46 for children.....it included the ferry ride over to Paradise Island, and access to the aquariums and lunch and the beach. If you go to their site you can look it up. We felt the same way , wanted to be comfortable there and not have to look over our shoulder for guards either. We met a few people on board who just spent $3 for the ferry and went to see the aquariums without paying, and used the beach at the Sheraton .....next door. I thought it was worth every penny to just relax and spent a beautiful day at Atlantis.
Sure wish I could find out about Cable Beach resort, going there this trip and I can't seem to get any info on it. We don't feel comfortable using the pool or beach without knowing if its allowed.

PS- they give you a wrist band so that they know that you are allowed to be there.

If you get to use the slides .....the kids will luv it.....they have a lazy river tube ride that goes thru the shark aquarium. encased inside the tank. lots to see and do there.
ENJOY!!!
