Default Catch the Wave Snorkel Safari

Has anyone done this excursion (Catch the Wave Snorkel Safari) in Cozumel through the RCI?
1) Is it worth? Please let me know how it was.
2) The website says that "After water activities are over, the vessel cruises along the scenic coastline to downtown Cozumel, where you can choose to disembark and enjoy the rest of your day shopping or exploring the many sights offered there"
How can I get back to the pier after spending time in the downtown of Cozumel?

I have done this tour. They do a nice job, but you may be a bit surprised as to how far they go (or don't go). The reef they snorkel on is a couple of hundred yards from the pier. So don't be shocked when the "boat ride " at the beginning is nothing more than a ride around the docked ships. The snorkelling is decent, the crew excellent and hard working. They run a glass bottom boat as well , which as I recall was free. During the boat ride along the waterfront between the pier and down town and back to the pier again they crank up the music and drinks as well. Good fun
To get from downtown back to the ship you simply take a cab, there are dozens, and the fee is fixed . I believe it is $4. maybe a buck or so more by now. (that's per cab, not per person.)

I'll second PaPa's words, Great time and crew. The price included food (really good) and drinks, soft and hard (after water activites) and they did offer a glass bottom boat as part of the excursion. Was the best thing my family did on our cruise last year. Food was make it yourself chicken/steak fajita's with sauces. They offered to drop us at our ships pier or the downtown pier, we went downtown and just caught a Taxi back, lots are always available. Go downtown afterwards, Cozumel was not like the border towns in Mexico (the only other places I've been in Mexico. Enjoy it, we sure did.

they also have a thing on this excursion called "bond" where you ride these little scooters under water with a diving helmet on (no mask) it was great and well worth the extra money. the crew was great and they take your picture under water you can buy on the ride back or they will take pictures of you with your camera(we did both)
