Hello! I was hoping that I could get some recommendations for seeing
some of my stops without taking the cruise-sponsored excursions. I'm
interested in almost anything so long as it doesn't focus on shopping
or sitting in a bus. Hiking, kayaking, snorkeling are all good. Even
I'm on the Constellation this coming Friday. The ports are:
Casa de Campo, D.R.
In Antigua I've been drawn into www.antiguaadventures.com
. In St.
Thomas I'm very sure I want to go to St. John, but I don't know what
the best way to see the land-based parks is, at least not without
getting in a crowded tour bus.
In Barbados I've been told to find a cab and hire the driver to play
tour guide. Any recommendations on how to make sure I get a good
guide? Will the same strategy work well in Grenada?
Finally: Casa de Campo???? I've read a lot of mixed things, and I'm
nervous about kayaking after going on a kayak excursion where the
kayaks were so bad I couldn't keep from tipping over.
Thank you for any suggestions!!!
