Default New Orleans

We are thinking of booking the Grandeur of the Seas out of New Orleans. We would probably do our own air & hotel. Does anyone know if any of the hotels provides a FREE SHUTTLE to the pier? If so which ones?

We sailed out of New Orleans and booked a hotel in the FQ, on canal street. We had our own vehicle, but it is a short taxi ride to the pier. New Orleans seemed to have a "nothings free" attitude. You can type new orleans hotels in your google search and you can get the hotel web sites. We used it to find hotel ammenities we were looking for. That may help.

You can stay at the Marriot downtown. (Across from the Casino) and walk or taxi to the pier. Anywhere in the French Quarter is also a short cab ride.

We are booked on the Grandeur leaving NOLA on May 1. We booked a week ago and have found that hotels are in short supply. The jazzfest ends on the 2nd, so if you are looking for this time book at the airport. Don't prepay, but that gives you wiggle room to find something else. We have a room reserved at the Wingate, but I am still looking for something at Riverwalk or the FQ that isn't in the hundreds.

We are booked to leave NO on the NCL Dream on 2/29. We will have our vehicle there, but I did talk with the guys at the port authority (who were very helpful). They have indicated there are several hotels in the area that will provide transportation. NCL also have a NO recommendations for the Sheraton, International, and one other. I am sure there is somehting listed on their site about them.
ncl.com

Best of luck.

We are booked on the Conquest 2/29. I found a great deal at the Radisson for $59.00 a night. I booked it on hotwire.com. You go in blind until you book it. All I knew at the time was a 4 star in the French Quarter. We will have out own vehicle and the Raddison will watch the port parking of $12 a day ($84). They also have a free shuttle to the peir and to the casino (Harro's i think). Anyway if you have any questions I will be glad to answer.

Tim
