I am not finding much information on recommended excursions/things to do in St Kitts and Margarita Island. Has any done the Fan-ta-seas excursion (6 hr snorkel/beach with lunch) excursion out of St kitts? Any recommendations for Margarita Island? Thanks for any help!
we just came home from the sunbird & one of the islands was Margarita. They have little "huts" as you enter towards the beaches...they have a few 4 wheelers & they take you on tours from there. We stayed mostly on the beaches...sorry thats all I know.I guess it depends on where you end up in port.
Personally for St Kitt's I would recommend arranging your own taxi tour that includes Brimstone Hill (truly spectacular and wonderful photo ops) and Caribelle Batik/Romney Manor (pretty grounds with some spectacular palms and other plants and a chance to get some unique souvenirs at the Batik shop). Taxi drivers on St. Kitt's are friendly and knowledgable and will give you a nice tour at a reasonable price.
We hired a large taxi (it was like a small bus) in St. Kitts and hit the spots recommended above. We also stopped at a beach for a bit, which was great. In Margarita, they have developed a small beach right off the cruise ship pier. It was nice and convenient.
We just got back from 7-day cruise that included St. Kitts and Margarita Is. Since we prefer to see scenery and learn about the islands we don't spend much time on the beach. In St. Kitts we took the new scenic railroad for a lovely ride around the coast with a lot of narrative and on Margarita Is we booked a 4x4 jeep trip to the western part of the island. Spent some time on the beach and had a wild offroad ride. Gorgeous scenery. Booked both through Celebrity cruiseline.
