Hi all! Am soooo excited to go on our first cruise...the W Carib. Can anyone out there give me the low down re: 7 Mile Beach in Grand Cayman? Can you walk there from the docks? If not, how much for a taxi? Where are the public access located? If I can't find them, how can I get on the beach w/out getting hassled...a hotel? Do they require a fee?
Also...I just read that you have to be back on the boat an hour before departure? Is this true?!
The beaches are public and in between the hotel porperties there are public access paths. Cabs are just a few bucks and of course it depends on how far down on the beach you go. Any driver will be able to recommend a place to go. Often the ship runs an inexpensive excursion that includes use of a chair and facilities at one of the hotels.
forgot to address your question about return to the ship. They will announce a last tender time . Be in line before this time. (probably 45 to 60 minutes before sailing time.)
