Default Best beach in Barbados

Hi, we are sailing to Barbados and want that to be a good beach day. Swimming, snorkle, jet ski, drink, eat...you know. I would like a really good beach that has all of this.

Can anyone give me a hint?

Nicki

Hi Nicki,
Check out the "boatyard beach", short cab ride from the pier, or you can even walk it with proper directions.

Nope, this beach is not topless....We first got a cab to Harrison CAves, interesting and a nice way to see some of Barbados....after that we had the driver drop us off at boatyard beach.. We spent some time there, rented a jet ski, then it started getting very cloudy and then rain. We decided to take off at that point and walk back to the ship, its a good 2 or 3 miles, but it was raining so bad, we spotted an internet cafe and waited the rain out there, checked e-mail, etc....

They have a restaurant/bar, plenty of lounge chairs, water trampoline and you can rent jet ski's. There are different people that will rent to you, so you can bargain a price, worked for us.

Have fun!

I have been to Barbados approximately 10 times, granted the last being 12 years ago. A friend of mine used to live there, so I have been to almost every beach on the island. My favorite is what we called accra beach but I think they might call in Rockley beach in the guidebooks. Any beach on the west coast is great for sunning or swimming. I would recommend Church Point on the west coast. However, all of the beaches are public. On the west coast most of the water sports are available at the resorts, ie parasailing, jetskis, wind surfing. I never cared for the beaches that were closest to the Deep water harbor where the cruise ships dock. Have fun, it is a beautiful island.
