I had a relative call me this morning and ask me about a hotel/cruise offer and gave me the phone number of the company giving the offer.
Anyways, the deal is for a 2 night stay in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and a week cruise to the Bahamas for a week for $200 a person in late May. I don't know, but that price sound a little fishy to me. There is no way it is a major cruise line. I asked my cousin, what cruise line? But, she didn't know.
I called the number, but no answer. They say to leave a message. But, I noticed that they don't give their name on the answering machine.
I went to the National Better Business Business Bureau site and typed in the phone number. The BBB had no information. I also look the number up with the Southeast Florida BBB and they had no information either.
I sounds like a time share scam. I know the Regal Empress takes people over there and then you are subjected to a hard sell on a time share resort over there or in Ft. lauderdale. I had a similar offer and threw it away.

Too good to be true. My dad rcvd a letter offering a 2 day stay in Orlando, 2 day stay in Ft. Lauderdale, a free cruise on the Imperial Majesty Regal Empress, and a 4 day stay in Mexico or Las Vegas. I told the girl that I wanted to know the price, I had to listen to talk. She quoted me a price of $1200.00. I told her that the Regal Empress is an old ship that sailed out of Port Manatee. I live in Bradenton/Sarasota area. She was trying to convince me that it is a top notch ship since it is owned by Ramada. I sailed on her when she was the Caribe and I know several people who went when she was sailing out of Port Manatee. I asked her how much would it cost to upgrade to Carnival and leave off the stays in Orlando and Ft. Lauderdal, I was told $800 for two people for a trip to Nassau and inside cabin. I told her I can bet that rate. She passed me to someone else who tried to convince me that the ship is a good one. I told him that ship sailed out of Port of Manatee He then stated that it sailed out of NYC. I told him, it did when it did the Bermuda cruise, but the ship is old. The ship is a classic, but not worth the price.
