Hi Vee,We have cruised out of SJ many times. When we go to the Beach there we go to Isle Verde beach, you can take a bue there it cost you $.25 each way.A cab may cost you $10 each way ,we swim in front of the EL San Juan[ESJ].I am not sure where the Jubliee docks .But it is also a Short bus trip to Old SJ ,maybe 10 Min.the same Price $.25 each way or a cab {if you are out a ways }for maybe $10.
I know that RCCL docks right in town and you can walk to Old SJ from there.

Dan: could Isle Verde beach be the island that someone was telling me was so beautiful to snorkle in sj? vee: there are previous postings about the Jubilee , but in short, and my opion only. take ferry to st john and go to big maho and swim to the left around the rocks, if shopping is your thing, dont go to st john. Antigua, take the helipcopter trip to the monserate volcano $190 each but its so amazing to see, take the camera. i dont know about shopping there. and i dont know anything about st lucia, was nice little expensive area near the ship. in dominica, snorkling the champain bubbles and see the black sand tho its a mess to get off of skin lol. rough trip getting down on the beach. as for the DR, see parrotmons and my messages and decide for your self. very few people got off the ship on thur 5p. those that did, came right back. at least that was the ship gossip. have a wonderful cruise, be careful , if it looks like a distraction, it is>

In Old San Juan, there is a shop called "The Butterfly People". You have to go into this store. It is absolutely amazing. It's an art store where the art is butterflies, lots and lots of brilliantly colored butterflies. Unbelievably beautiful.
