We're booked on Celebrity and wondered whether anyone had problems getting a tender into Belize to join a tour booked privately. We've heard Celebrity gives tender boarding priority to those booked through their excursion desk and all others with private tours have to wait for a tender. X-treme leaves at 8 a.m. and we're concerned we will not make it with the rush of people trying to get off.
Also if we anchor in Belize at 7 a.m (ship's time)., it is actually 6 a.m. in Belize?
It depends on whether the ship's time is set eastern or central time zone. Belize is in cental time zone. Yes, ships always give priority to people who booked excursions through the ship. Sometimes you can ask the pursers desk for an early tender number, but they don't have to give you one. Ask X-stream they should have your name and they should wait for you. If the seas are really rough sometimes they don't run the tender boats at all! Happened to our friends last week. We went Feb 5th and they were running the tenders. I would just make sure and check with X-Stream.
