Default What is the best way to get to Margaritaville?

Is this a fun safe place to spend a few hours?

I'd say anything with a Jimmy Buffett theme is well worth the effort to get there!

Good luck finding your lost shaker of salt!!!

Margaritaville is in the heart of Downtown MoBay - you can easily catch a cab from the docks. It is a LOT of fun, but good weather is a factor because it's literally on the beach and there are waterslides, trampolines, etc. to keep you occupied. When we were there, a storm was brewing and they had closed up all the water sports. Left us with nothing to do but drink (for a change :^}...). I vaguely remember a dark and mysterious casino type building across the street; you could see slot machines through the window but we didn't venture in.

If you are going to shop wait until right before you get back to the ship. There are a few vendors in the pier terminal who carry just about the same stuff you will see everywhere else. Jamaica has great prices on booze and cigs.........
Cheers,
MaryC

Default That leads to another question...

When you purchase booze at the port take Jamaica for example is it hard to bring
it back on board ship without them holding on to it until the end of the cruise also how much are you allowed to bring back into the states?

If you are docking in Ocho Rios, then it is about a 10 min walk to Margaritaville. It is in a shopping center on the beach. Very well marked - you will see it. Bring your bathing suit - they have a pool w/slide and swim up bar.
