Any body know if of a tour operator named Roy in St Thomas We used him 5 yrs ago and he was excellant and are visiting St Thomas again in July and wanted to hook up with him again. Let me know if he has aweb site or how to get in touch with him. Thanks Mark
I don't think he has a web-site - his business card that he gave us was torn from a piece of notebook paper. But he is the BEST! We've toured with him 5 or 6 times, and, as of last summer, he was still there touring. Just ask at the the port for Roy - we usually find him around the post office in town, so you might have to take another cab into town and ask around for him. He's terrific in making sure we see a different part of St. Thomas each time we go and you don't have to worry that he'll be back to get you when he drops you off. Have a great time - we're going "western" this summer, but St. Thomas/St. John is definitely my favorite.
We used Roy during our honeymoon... in 1992!!
He approached us on the street in St. Thomas.. it was our first cruise.. and we were very green!
He totally MADE our day in St. Thomas.
The next time we go, we are definatly going to try to find him!
I still remember this quote he told us.... for some strange reason, I will never forget it
"In St. Thomas... yellow is mellow, twice brown go down...." (I know..... ok..... gross, yet.. but funny as hell!)
Couldn't get his number, but I am going with Godfrey tour, he seems to be getting GREAT reviews from everyone. You might want to check out his website at www.godfreytoursvi.com. You can get him and he can just take your 16 people. He picks you up at the ship and takes you shopping for 1-3 hours which ever you want then a two hour tour of the island and then to a beach of your choice for $20. Check him out?
To contact Godfrey, just click on the Reservations button on his website. http://www.godfreytoursvi.com/
He will get back to you soon - just give him time since he's a "one-man company".
We took our group on a Godfrey tour later in the day (chartered his services for just our group). We married that morning on St John, had the reception on a catamaran that ended up back at Red Hook, and that is where Godfrey picked us up (we did not want to do shopping that day, but had plenty of time for his island tour and about an hour on the beach since we had an abbreviated day). His tour is well worth the $20 per person. Except for our wedding/reception, his tour was the most favorite 'excursion' our family/friends did! : ) Pics from our tour with him can be found here: http://www.cmgoddard.com/pages/3/index.htm
