Which side of the ship offers the best views from your balcony> On our next cruise we want to visit St. Lucia. I've noticed many of the ships cruise past the Pitons and we think it would be great to have a balcony view.
Sailing into port, if the ship passes that side of the island, the Pitons would be Starboard. Sailing out of port, the Pitons would be port. I do not remember passing that side of the island on the ship either time we have been to StLucia. As a matter of fact, both times we have been there we approached and left the island from the north, going away from the Pitons.
Starboard. See the sunrise everymorning, the sunsets in the evening.>>>>
since the sun rises in the east and sets in the west how can you see both from the same side of the ship ----do you mean see one on the outward leg and the other on the return
As far as the ports go....depends on how you are docked. Ships usually board on the starboard side so you will usaually have a view of the pier and the other ship that's in port with you. If you want to see the island, you best choice will probably be Port.
