I'm sailing Navigator of the seas in september 2004 (western caribbean). I informed myselfe about the shore excursions and I'm thinking about whether I should choose a horseriding one. The last time I was riding a horse is about 5 years ago but I think I know how it works...Has anyone taken part on such an excursion (especially on Jamaica or Mexico)? How is it and is it worth to pay 80-100 $ for them?
Do you think that my mam (she has never ride a horse before) can do this too??
I'm wondering the same thing. We're not cruising till April, so don't know if the horseback riding excursion is going to be offered on ours yet, but if not, does anyone know of an independent operation in Jamaica?
My husband and teenage children did the horseback riding in Montego Bay. They have all ridden before, and enjoyed the experience. Riding in the water was pretty scary, even for my Texas Husband who grew up on a horse, but they only rode in the water for about 2 minutes. They said the excursion was very organized and you don't have to take a camera because they take the pictures and put them on a disk for you. ($20)
