Maho Beach - St. Maarten

Anyone ever gone to Maho Beach in St. Maarten?? If so, comments please?? How far from the cruise ship dock is it??

Maho Beach is located on the opposite side of Phillipsburg from the cruise ship terminals. It is by the airport. To say "by the airport " is an understatement. It is literally at the end on the runway.
I am told it is a great beach with good snorkelling but, one must contend with the jets landing right over your head.
