Default need help with Roatan

We're not sit on the beach type people so we need some advice on active things to do in Roatan. HAs anyone rented scooters or a jeep and just checked out the entire island? Is snorkeling as good off the beach as by boat? Anyone done the mangrove tours---to me they sounded a little dull. Need help deciding ASAP

We were there in MAy and did a tour that took us to see some sunken ships and also to a very remote area to a house that makes hibiscus jelly. Niether were that impressive but you did get to see some wonderful views. We then had the driver take us to Half Moon Bay where we snorkeled from the shore. It was wonderful and there was a great restaurant there. Roatan is very dirty and very poor. The people we met however were fantastic. We did the mangrove tour in Belize and it was good.

You should look into the canopy tour. My husband and I did this in Roatan. You slide down zip lines from platforms in trees. It was a blast. It's called the West End Zip Line Canopy Tour.
