How much they have recovered is unkown to me at the moment but I do know that they had terrible damage there from the hurricanes. The island is/was beautiful and we took a tour that brought us to many locations with stops to sample and learn of the differant spices grown naturally there. Please let us all know what the island is like now and how they are progressing with their repairs.
i haven't been since the storms, but a couple of years ago i was there and, brother, they will hustle you to death. the island is POOR, and i feel sorry for the locals who have to scratch out a meager living peddling spices, but get ready for 'combat.'
just got back from a sun princess cruise and one of our stops was grenada...the island is still in pretty bad shape and it will take a couple of yrs for everything to get back to what is was before the storm. I was impressed at the will of the people there. they have made alot of progress, in other words I was expecting it to look alot worse than it does now. found the people there very friendly but it is a very poor land and all they have going for them now are the tourists. It was interesting to see but Barbados sure would have been a better stop!!!!
