I have never been there for the day, but, I have spent several days on vacation there as have several friends and family.
$74 is a lot if you are just going for a few hours, but not a lot to spend the whole day using the beach pools, food and drink facilities.
There are several pools a large hot tub and a great stretch of beach on Cable Beach.
Poolside bar (swim up if you so choose) , poolside grill. Food "inside is excellent. All meals are buffet but choices are many and food is good. Presume the pass allows use of the non motorized water toys like rafts, kayaks, etc.
If you took a cab each way to the beach, rented a chair and umbrella, ate lunch and a snack and had a few drinks it would probably cost that much. I would do it for that price.
I heard you could go on your own, take a bus for $1, and at the pier get a $5 off coupon a day pass and it will cost you about $45-50 on your own. All inclusive, water, beach, pools, drinks, food....everything....
