Paradise Beach

We will be arriving in Cozumel at 10:30 am next Friday and up until now our plan has been to take a cab to Paradise Beach but I noticed other posts saying that if you don't get there before 11:00 it can be too crowded. Is that true? We have a 22 month old and will absolutely need some sort of shade for her at least some of the time. What are the chances all of the umbrellas will be taken this time of year on a Friday morning. Any way to tell how many ships will be docking that day? We'll be on the Carnival Conquest.
