Best Cozumel/Keys Beach

Going on 4-night Celebrity cruise with stops in Key West and Cozumel. Want to do beaches at both ports. Which are the best? Have heard of Chakanaab (spl) in Cozumel. Good place? Thanks in advance for the information. NP

Try to spend the day at Passion Island you will love it. The 4 of us went and did not want to come back because it is so beautiful. Have a nice cruise. Mateli

There are a lot of beautiful beaches in Cozumel. We went to Mr. Sanchos and loved it...shops, restaurants, restrooms, waiters on the beach, and the water is great.

There is already a thread running about the beaches in Key West. I used to teach scuba in the Keys, and a local KW posted. Basically, skip the beach in Key West as theyre not really nice. The sand is crushed up coral (not fine), the seaweed can wash up and make things really stinky, and the visibility isnt too great for snorkeling unless you go out on a boat. The local woman said that she wouldnt let her kids swim in the water it was so dirty!
