Default Pirate Ship Dubloon Cruise excursion

We are looking to take this excursion in St. Thomas from our cruise ship, but it only sails at sunset and that doesn't work for us. Has anyone done this and do you know if you can book it separately from the ship for other times during the day? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

When we went on the Doubloon a couple years ago it was a daytime cruise that we booked through the cruise ship. When I went to their website (doubloon.com) this is what it said....

"We operate half day snorkel excursions from St. Thomas, USVI to Buck Island just 4 miles from the West Indian and Co. cruise ship dock.

Doubloon bookings can be made on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruise Line and Disney Cruise Line at their shore excursion desk. Our tour, Turtle Cove Sail & Snorkel, is approximately 3 to 3 1/2 hours in duration where we experience excellent snorkeling among beautiful coral formations, tropical reef fish and wild sea turtles."

Didn't sound like they book separately.

You might want to book another company for the earlier half day sail- I don't think this one goes out except for the cruise ship excursion . I know of one company which operates half day sails from St Thomas Red Hook area. Try contacting Interlinesail in St Thomas. The phone is 340-690-8228 or email captain@interlinesail.com
Not sure of price, but think it's $65 for 3 1/2 hours.
Hope this helps.

I went on Doubloon several years back as well. I think they keep the ship pretty busy with excursions done off cruise ships. Check with them direct.
All in all the trip across to Buck Island, the swimming and snoekelling and the "sailing" (mostly motor sailing , sails up but motor running) make for an enjoyable excursion.
