We will be spending about 15 hours in Aruba. What's interesting to see and do? I read somewhere that the best way to get around is by renting a car. They do drive on the "right" side of the road, don't they? Jimbo
We rented a Jeep right at the port for $80 for the day and it was worth every penny. It is almost impossible to get lost in Aruba. It's only 14 miles long. Now roadsigns are almost non-existant but you use divi-divi trees to navagate. Which ever way the divi-divi tree is pointing is the way to your ship.
We followed some jeeps around that were on a guided tour and then took off on our own. Try to find a place called "The Natural POOL" or "Conchi". Its quite a ride but well worth it once you get there! We spent a good 2 hours there because of its beauty. The Natural bridge is also kinda cool.
Whatever you decide you will have a blast in Aruba!
We took the half day organized jeep tour through Royal Caribbean and had a great time. It's one of the best ways to see the majority of the island. In the afternoon, we took a taxi to Palm Beach (where all the resort hotels are) and went parasailing. They also have tons of other watersports and the beaches are very nice for lounging as well.
