I'm cruising the w. caribbean on feb 19th out of gavleston, and am worried about the weather?! I went to the e. caribbean last year at the same time out of san juan and it was really warm. Does anyone know if west car. is warm? I just want to be able to be in a bathing suit and swimming!!!
We went out of Galveston the first week of Jan. The only days that were cool was the day we left port and the night before we returned to Galveston. Shorts weather the rest of the time.
not to worry. We sailed the Western in early January. It was cool the first day out but after that it was nice, sunny and warm, some ports (Cozumel) were hot. Definite shorts & bathing suit weather.
Once you put some distancebetween you and Galveston, the weather begins to heat up. You will have great very warm to hot weather in the Caribbean. HAve your jacket ready for your return.
