Default question on chankanaab park

We are going in two weeks need help quick. I see nothing offered for the park from the ship(an all day thing). So how do we get there, taxi. If so how much does it cost and hos far from the pier is it, also what about the return taxi to the boat. Do we need to set that up with taxi before he drops us off. any and all help will be greatly helpful

All ships do offer a tour or at least did. It is cheaper to do on your own and very, very easy and safe as well. Simply grab a taxi, the price should be about $8 and that is for the cab and not pp. Entry into the park is about $10pp. When you are finished just walk back out the gate and there will be taxi's lined up for the return trip.

HI Taxis run back an forth to the park all day long. Is maybe $20 each person to go. Is an AWESOME place, we loved it. Highlight of our cruise 5/02. You don't have to worry about taxis, they are everywhere. As they say, sit back, shut up & HANG ON lol A ride to remember lol

We were just there in Jan. It was $10 cab ride each way and the entry fee was $12. We loved our day there. We did the royal dolphin swim-amazing!

Loved the park! The taxis are safe- crazy drivers at times, but no worries...just part of the adventure. Chakanaab is one of my favorite places when cruising!!! I highly recommend it!

Also.........how large is your group. You may need more than one cab. I believe it is 4 people allowed to a cab. That is a law in Mexico.

We've been to Chakanaab Park two times in the last two years. Fantastic place. After you leave the "shopping mall" area off pier, there are taxis waiting to take you anywhere. Taxi rates are flat rates, like 2 ppl for $12. You can get more in a van and it is a flat rate too. Park entry is $10.00 pp. We always go to the beach near the restaurant and have George or Victor bring us nachos, fuu fuu drinks and the like! You can swim, snorkel, swim with dolphins (at a price!). Later in the day you can go to Senor Frogs, Carlos N Charlies or Pancho's Backyard for dinner in whatever you have on from beach (with coverups of course). Lovely day!

I have a VERY basic question in this category....how does one pronounce Chankanaab? OK, I know you can't demonstrate the pronounciation on this board, but can someone give me a clue as to which syllable gets the most emphasis?

Do you have to reserve the dolphin swim ahead of time?
