Default HALF MOON CAY snorkeling (HAL private island)

We're trying a different cruise line this time- Holland America, and thus a new "private island". Does anyone know if off-shore snorkeling is available at Half Moon Cay?
(It is at Princess Cay and is rather decent besides.) Don't want to drag the snorkel gear around if it isn't available.

I know HAL offers a snorkel excursion, but trying to save a few $'s. OR, is it worth it?

Also, I see that there is a water park now at Half Moon Cay. What is offered and what are the charges?

Would appreciate feedback as we sail early March. Many thanks!
