Passion Island Cozumel

has anyone gone to passion island on own, besides the ship excursions? Had a taxi take you there? How long is the trip?

I'm not certain about this but as I recall you have to get to passion island by boat. We did the Jeep/Passion Island excursion a few years ago and we drove to a spot and took a motor boat (some did canoes) over to Passion Island. I'm not sure there are canoes just sitting there for just anyone to use.
