Default Diamond Holidays - Too Good To Be True?

Hey everyone..

I just got home from school and I had a really exciting message on my answering machine. A few months ago I was at the mall with my boyfriend and I entered one of those dumb contests to win a car. Apparently the runner-up prize was a cruise to the Bahamas courtesy of Diamond Holidays. I was really excited, and they gave me a phone number to call and a confirmation number, so it all seemed really realistic. But then I called my mom at work and told her about it and she said it was probably a scam, rar.

So, has anyone heard of Diamond Holidays/do you know if they're just trying to scam people into a "free" cruise? Please let me know if you have any information. Thanks!

I'm crossing my fingers!!!

I would advise that you check them out on line. Seems that the "free cruise" is very expensive when all is said and done. If you want to go on a cruise.....check for something you can afford and someplace you want to see.....then book with a reputable company. Seems that this company's "free cruise" costs big bucks when you really read the fine print. Be very careful!

The best advice ever given: "If it sounds too good to be true, I probably is".

do a little checking, chances are port charges and taxes aren't covered, airfare isn't covered, and its probably the worst cabin on an old ship.

YOu can check out bad companies by going to ripoffreport.com.

I would be extremely cautious but have heard that it may be a real deal. They may also require you to take a "tour" of a time share type resort first. I've done that. High pressure but they do seem to really fork over the gifts. ????
