Amazing (or maybe not) that you recieved virtually no response whosoever especially since you are a new CM member..maybe there's better places to ask beginner/first time cruise questions.
It's not "amazing" that you didn't have any immediate answers! You just have to wait until someone can answer your questions! We'll be looking forward to hearing about your cruise!
Have a great cruise!

We did the re-positioning cruise on the Dawn Princess in 2004 - LOVE IT!!! The day you sail through the canal is fabulous. We liked this particular cruise because of so many sea days. In Costa Rica we did the 'walk through the canopy'. Pretty good all day tour, but I have heard the Zip-line excursions are really great too. That's what we will do next time - plan on doing the Coral Princess re-positioning in 2007. I guess it depends on how active you want to be - but we will do the tubing down the river excursion in Jamaica next time. St. Thomas is a shopping stop for us. We also enjoy the excursions where you ride the little 2 person inflatable boats (a tamer version of a jet ski). We have done that on St. Maarten and Aruba - lot of fun. The Mexico stops - hard to say - if you are stopping at Cabo San Lucas, then I suppose everyone has to do the boat trip to the arches. Acapulco - the cliff divers - although, having done it once, I don't need to do it again. Personally, I am not impressed with Acapulco, so on our next visit I think we will plan on spending the day at one of the large resort hotels - maybe the Acapulco Princess.
We will be doing the Island Princess to Hawaii and back out of L.A. on Sept. 19th of this year - sister ship to the Coral, so we are looking forward to that. We just love cruising, so doesn't really matter where we go - we will enjoy ourselves and I hope you do the same.
