San Juan walking tours? horse carriages? or taxis?
Hi all,
Would like infor about San Juan tours. We can't walk for the 2 1/2 hours on the ship's excursion tour. Does anyone know of a private tour that would stop every once in a while to let us rest and have a beverage or whatever?
Thank you,
Tova

Go to the library and get either the frommers or fodors book on San juan. You can do the tour yourself. If your ship docks at the american pier, you can do the tour yourself. As you come off the pier go to the left there is a free trolley up to the fort.On the way back stay on the trolley and it takes you around Old San Juan. When you get off the trolley you can then walk back into Old San Juan on you own.
As for the other areas you can get a cab if you want. But the fort and OSJ will take you maybe two or three hours.

Hi Tova, We were in San Juan last Jan and did a walking tour of the city with Debbie Ramos-She has a great tour and a very nice lady who has a couple of great walking tours of the city. You can go to her site www.legendsofpr.com and get her info. She took us to places that were very interesting and where many people don't get a chance to see. We stopped for a drink, and was very informal and friendly tour. Debbie spokw to everyone as we walked around. She is a local lady with lots of good stories. Hope this helps. If you need more info just holler. Take care, Knarf (Frank backwards)
