Default Freeport/Nassau

Thinking of the Fantasy to Freeport/Nassua w/ husband and 12 yr. old son. March or April. I have never been to the eastern side. Can anyone give me advice as to what you thought of these ports? Prices and things to do...
The other option is the Sensation to Costta Maya/ Coz. This ship leaves out of New Orleans and the flight there is higher. But I know Coz. is nice.
Thanks...Karyn

Personally, hands down I'd do the one that included Cozumel. Been on many cruises...Freeport and Nassau are two of my least favorite ports. If it was that or nothing, of course I'd go. But I really enjoy Cozumel. So much prettier...great beaches, shopping....

You'll usually find with people that have cruised many times at different ports, these two wouldn't be at the top of their favorite places to stop.

But this is just my opinion. Your son would enjoy Chankanaab park or Paradise beach...We usually go to Chankanaab park..very nice beach..pretty good snorkeling...can swim with the dolphins or sea lions....(for a fee)
Paradise beach has toys there in the water and stuff. Snorkeling not that good though...

I'm sure you'll have a great time wherever u choose to go.

Just returned on the Voyager, I agree, Freeport was my least favorite port, you dock in a oil refinery and need a 25 minute bus ride to the tourist shopping area, we also did the glass bottom boat ride which was good, although it was fairly rough and many were seasick(don't forget your dramamine

i will have to agree with the others Freeport/Nassau are two of my least favorite ports to call on, and since you have already done an eastern itineary, try the Western, you will love it.
