Dear Fellow Cruisers: I am interested in doing a Southern Caribbean cruise (longer than 7 days) in the late spring/early summer of 2006. I am still fairly new to cruising as I have only done three cruises. Two were on Carnival and most recently a 14-day cruise on Celebrity's Summit (which was absolutely spectacular). I would really prefer to do Celebrity again or would try Princess as another option. Any insight from you experienced cruisers out there would be appreciated. Thanks!
Why don't you consider one of the following cruises:
Hawaii Circle roundtrim from LA, April 9, '06, 14-days on board Summit
Trans-Atlantic from Barcelona on Millie, Nov. 24, '06, 16 day......includes Nice, Rome, Florence, Naples, etc. before heading west to FFL.
Come on - you know you want to do it - and we'd finally get a chance to meet!
Hey there Pooh Bear! How are you? I just don't know if I could handle all those sea days on the roundtrip Hawaii cruise. I have absolutely no desire to cross the Atlantic!! Sorry, but my sea legs aren't that good. Two consecutive sea days are enough for me before I need to see land. We would like to possibly do the Panama Canal cruise next year and in 2007 think about Europe. Celebrity has spoiled me, but I think I might would try Princess. I'll let you know what I come up with!
another great choice is Celebrity's 12 night Panama Canal cruise out of Galveston sailing on the Galaxy.
Princess does a great Southern Itineary.
I think that if you want to do a southern route you should include the Panama Canal.
Why not try out this Southern Caribbean Cruise on the Sun Princess? Below are her sailing dates.

We did an 11 day cruise out of San Juan on RCCL empress of the seas[it is the smallest ship in their fleet]in which there were 9 ports in the 11 day and just one day at sea.I am not sure how long they do this itenary but it was a great trip for us.I think it will be worth looking into.
We just booked a 10 day Southern Caribbean on HAL's Zaandam.
Was wondering if anyone has taken this cruise before and if you have any insisht or suggestions on the ports. Not sure what Panama has to offer besides going through the canal. Also, are any of these ports know for any special kind of shopping. Any and all information is appreciated.
