off the beaten path in Coz..

Went to Chaunkanaab last year. Returning and wondering if anyone out there has any other suggestions? I want to hit a beach to snorkel. I am there till midnight. Love the local culture and wondering what else I can do. Is there more unique shopping off the beaten path...away from downtown or the docks? Other beaches to see? Places to visit?
