hi, Is Labadee, Hispaniola similiar to the coco cay private island that rccl has? We had a great time in coco cay last year. Does it provide a bbq on the beach? Any info greatly appreciated. Thank you Dee
It is a private beach area for RCL and does include a BBQ. We walked all the way in away from the crowds and to the right to a very nice area of the beach and close to one of the BBQs. They have 2 or 3 BBQs around th beach. There are many guys there offering you chaise lounges which are free but they expect a tip for carrying it to any location you want. The food was good and they do have water activities for a nominal fee.

We did the waverunner excursion at Labadee and it was great fun. It was also a nice way to see more of the area than the beautiful beach, etc. If you want to do that, just make sure to do it in advance, it does fill up quickly. They also have the BBQ lunch in a few different areas, so be sure to have lunch out on the beach.
Hi Dee,
Yes, they do offer a snorkeling excursion, but I've heard its not really that good. We did snorkel in Coco Cay and that was decent. There are lots of things to do there. For, I think $10.00 you can rent a floaty mat for the day, those come in handy in the water and on the beach, although there are plenty of lounge chairs too.
I was in Labadee two weeks ago and it was beautiful. There were rocks in the water as you walked in but the water was warm and beautiful. I gave the man a tip for carrying the lawn chairs to the location I chose.
