Just have a couple of questions ... Is St. Thomas and St. Marten a dock stop or a tender stop? Also does anyone know if Carnival still has the Blue Lagoon beach day on htere excursions list. Just a lazy day at the beach... happy cruising.................
both st.thomas and st.maarten are docking ports no tenders
here. don't know about the blue lagoon but both of these
islands have great beaches. if you want to snorkel some
people prefer trunk bay over on the island of st.john, but I
myself like to go to coki beach as it is right next to coral
world and there always seems to be tons of fish hanging
around. st.maarten you must go to orient beach but be
careful as it is clothing optional most of the beach and the
far end is totally nude. have a great cruise
On our last trip into St. Maarten, there were quite a few ships docked, we ended up having to tender there. The good thing about that, they dropped us right in town. The ships that were able to dock, those cruisers had a long walk or had to take the $3.00 water taxi.
9 times out of 10 these two ports you will dock. There is always the possiblity that you could tender if the pier gets full, that is usually caused by an unexpected change in a ships plans.
If the Blue Lagoon excursion is still being offered you will be able to find it on Carnival's website. I would not do it on my own if it is not offered. It takes a bit of getting to just to get there.
