Default Coki Beach

Hi There,

On our next visit we plan to stay on St. Thomas. How do the safari taxis work regarding Coki or any of the other beaches? Do you just go out and tell them what beach? Do they have certain safari taxis going to each beach or will we make a couple of stops? We have taken the the taxi to Red Hook twice now and that one doesn't stop en route.

My understanding is that it is about $7 pp for the taxi. I've read that it is about a 20 minute ride. Is that accurate?

Thanks

Exactly right! They have different cab loads going to different beaches. And you'll have no problem finding one to bring you back to the ship.

Our family of 7 just asked a waiting jitney driver if she would take us to Coki Beach. She did but waited to get her truck filled with as many passengers as possible. We also arranged for her to return to pick us up and she was right on time and very accommodating.

Coki is OK for feeding the fish. Be sure to bring dog cookie bones, as the fish love them. Snorkle gear is available to rent if you don't have your own snorkle and fins. My preference for beach would be Mageans Bay or Sapphire Beach, which are much prettier.

Bon Voyage
