Default 7-Mile Beach

Will be in Grand Cayman in Feb '06, please would someone give us
information on 7-Mile Beach. Is this one long beach or several next to
each other? Would booking a shoretour or having a taxi take us from
the pier be better? Thanks for your input.

Seven Mile Beach is one long beach but only actually about 5 miles long! Don't waist your money on a ship tour that drops you at 7 mile beach. You still have to pay & take a taxi. Just ask a taxi driver to bring you to the beach in front of the Courtyard or Seagrapes beach. This is a nice area infront of the Courtyard hotel by Marriott. There are lounges for rental and water activities plus a beachside bar, facilities and the constant availability of taxis for your return to town.
Bon Voyage

If it were named 'Three 2-1/3 mile Beaches' then your question would have more merit! Ha. It's one beach, thus it's name.
Go online and rent you a car in advance. Save time and money and have the ability to see then entire island.
Grand Caymen is very expensive by the way, so be prepared. Be sure to Go to Hell!

7 mile is one long beach and very stunning. The furthr north you go the quieter it is. The best snorkeling is at Cemetery Reef. Any cabbie can drop you there. When you're ready to leave go to the road and wave down a van or taxi.

If you don't mind getting a little exercise after all the good meals at sea walking to 7 miles beach from the ship will run you about 30 minutes on sidewalk before you can access the beach. You can then walk another half hour on the beach and find chairs and drinks at one of the many hotels bars.Nice view of the cruise ships from beach. When ready to go back simply go to front of hotel to get lift back to pier. P/S If taking a little bus back to the ship, the driver usually waits for seats to be full B4 leaving.
