Diving in Cozumel

Any feedback from others who have done scuba diving tours in Cozumel? Have gone diving in St Thomas and had a great time and looking forward to going again. Have seen tour offered by Island Marketing LTD that does a discover diving tour for $69. Anyone have experience dealing with this company? Pros/Cons? Thanks for your feedback

I dove Cozumel years ago. I only did drift dives as the current was strong, so if youre looking to stop and check out the coral, forget it. Lots of big fish (parrot, etc).

Now on Sunday in our newspaper they did an article on Cancun and Cozumel after Wilma. They said Cancun was still not up and running (some places are though). Seems Wilma stayed for 40 hrs with winds of 150 mph (I didnt realize it was that bad-too much Katrina coverage I guess). They did say that Cozumel was somewhat up and running, but that it would take at least a century for the coral reefs to come back. So on that note, I dont know how badly damaged they were. You might want to look into that. Hopefully someone who has dove there recently can give you an update.

We used Island Marketing for our SNUBA/snorkel excursion last year. The e-mailed me once to let me know that the boat we had reservations on was undergoing maintenance and they had re-booked us on another boat and wanted to be sure that was okay with us.

(I'm was sad to hear that the Zorro didn't make it through the hurricane.)

I would use them again in a heartbeat.

You might want to check out cozumelinsider.com. Sherri is right on the island and can let you know what is up and running. I've booked several excursions through her and have never been disappointed.
