Default Cruise port / Cape Canaveral

Does one fly into Orlando and then take a taxi, bus to Cape Canaveral? What is the most price efficient what to go?

Hi CJL,
I think the most cost efficent way to get from Orlando airport to the pier, would be the Carnival transfers. We cruised on Glory and bought the transfers for $55 each both ways, it worked out just fine.

You can take the ship's transfers, taxi (very expensive), or independent shuttles. Hopefully you are able to fly in the day before because my recommendation would be to rent a car from Budget. It is only a 45-50 mile drive, very easy drive to the port. Budget's return is 1/4 mile south of the port.

We rented a car in Orlando also and then just dropped it off in Canaveral Beach, just minutes from the port. Budget has a shuttle to the pier. We hired a private van to pick us up on our return. It was a fairly new company with high-roof large vans, with tv to boot. Cost was around 95.00 total for as many people as we had (we had 4), it's one price. I think it was called MCO something (I already forgot and it was only October...ugh). Picked us up right outside the terminal. Very nice and convenient.
