Cave tubing! I didn't do it and wish I did! There is no where else that you can do this excursion. On our cruise, people said it was one of their favorite things that they did.

On our last trip there we did a ship tour to Goff's cay, some fantastic snorkeling and great guides. The nice part about doing this, they came right to the ship to pick you up and drop you off, so no long tender ride into town.
We were in Belize 2 years ago and I really wanted to go on the cave tubing tour but we had our four kids and two of their friends with us, so it was a little pricey for all of us to do the cave tour. We took a tour from a "local" who was recommeded by a policeman we met standing outside one of the shops. We saw some of the area (very poor country) but I was disappointed we didn't get to do the cave thing. My husband and I are going to Belize in May on the Glory and I already have the cave tour booked for the two of us. There are several places you can check out other than the cruiseline tours. I found one that advertises on this website and it is only $45.00 pp or $50.00 pp with lunch. Let me know if you want their website. Happy Sailing
Definitely do the cave tubing! We did it and loved it and the lunch was fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I went to Caye Caulker in 04 while on the Enchantment. Very Quiet place. There are docks along the main road that will take you diving or snorkeling. We found a restaurant with a nice sun deck for lunch and then we found the Lazy Lizzard for drinks after. About a 35-40 ride to the main pier in Belize.

Does the Goff's caye actually dock and let you explore the beach? We have some children coming along (4yr & 8yr olds) who might not be interested in snorkeling but will have energy to burn off.
We leave March 9th on the Carnival Legend..Can't wait!!!
I have heard good things about the cave tubing. We took a water taxi on our own to Caye Caulker and it was awesome if quiet and relaxing is your thing. The taxi ride is fast and can be rough but we thought it was fun. The native people we met could not have been nicer.
In Belize I crossed the country in order to visit Xunantunich Mayan site near the border with Guatemala. It included a REAL lunch at a very cool staw hut cafe. At the Mayan site we crossed via a hand cranked ferry and I purchased some pictured hand carved by the local Mayan Indians. The El Castillo temple is well worth the climb to the top. It's huge! That trip was worth the money for sure.
That's my subjective opinion...for what it's worth.

We were in Belize a year ago and went cave tubing twice with Thomas and Xtreme tubing. Absolutely awesome experience! It was a highlight for the 20 year-olds and 50+'s. And it was nice to cool off.
We've done the cave tubing and the snorkeling at Goff's Caye and I don't think you can go wrong with either one. Smaller boats take you from the ship to the Goffs Caye. There is a dock so the little ones can get out and then hang out at the beach.
