You can book a local taxi for all or part of a day to hit the island highlights. I am trying to make up my mind between Frank and Cosol, two drivers with their own web sites. Frank is $50 per person, Cosol quoted $40 per person. Both (and others, I'm sure) will take you wherever you want to go. Suggested stops are the Heritage Center to see the Pitons, the "drive through" volcano, the Governor's House, the Banana Plantation, Marigot Bay (where the movie Dr. DoLittle with Eddie Murphy was filmed), the Fishing Villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries, the rain forest and botanical gardens and numerous other smaller stops. Needless to say, that's a full day. Also check Frommers and Fodors online guides for other ideas.
April 1, 2006 - Serenade of the Seas - 7 days to the Southern Caribbean
October 8, 1984 - NCL Sunward II - 3 day cruise to the Bahamas
The tours outline are pretty much the same in St.Lucia but I would highly recommend Jackson of Phillip Tours ***edited to remove commercial reference***
the price was just right $40 per person that included all admissions, we even got unlimited drinks from bottle water, beers, rum punch & more. Visiting the Pitons are a must, just breath taking as well Marigot Bay and the volcano.
I would have to agree that in checking with a few of the taxi services the tours were the same. The only difference was the price..$40 up. We decided to use Fabian and were very happy. Even the kids! He included drinks, excellent rum punch and samples of local products. We would definitely use him again. Thanks to you all and cruisecritic.com.
